Your library
The app does not upload photos, videos, thumbnails, filenames, paths, album names, embedded metadata, sidecars, or GPS coordinates. Sources are read only. Repair reports and recovery state remain on your computer.
Purchases and license checks
When you choose to purchase, you leave this site or app for Polar’s hosted checkout. Polar handles payment information, receipts, and license delivery under its own privacy policy.
Activation sends your license key, our organization ID, and a generic app instance name to Polar. Later validation and deactivation send the key and its activation identifier; validation also sends our license benefit ID. These internet requests also expose ordinary connection information, including your IP address, to the provider. They contain no library information.
The app keeps the key, instance identifier, product identifiers, license expiry, and last validation time in your operating system’s secure credential store. It does not retain customer names, emails, or payment details returned by the provider. License validation runs when the app opens, once per day while it stays open, and when you request it. A verified license has a maximum 30-day offline window.
Website and diagnostics
No analytics scripts or advertising trackers are included in this website. The hosting service may receive standard connection and request information. Desktop diagnostics are off by default; no telemetry network destination is configured.
Purchase confirmation
When you return from checkout, Polar may include a temporary customer session token in the confirmation link. Our confirmation page uses it to retrieve your license from Polar. The token and key are not saved in browser storage or an application database. Treat the confirmation link like your license key and do not share it.
Support and your choices
Photo Takeout Fix operates this product from Israel. If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, and use it to respond to your request. Send an app version, error code, or order reference rather than photos or a license key. Request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us using the email below. Purchase records managed by Polar are subject to its privacy policy and applicable retention requirements.
